Tualatin has an amazing collection of parks and trails. The staff at Tualatin Parks is small and mighty - but they can also use the support of the community.

The Tualatin River Greenway Trail

We are building a team of interested folks to care for the crown jewel of our trail network: the Tualatin River Greenway Trail.

We are organizing volunteers to regularly remove invasive blackberry, ivy, and other pests that need the watchful eye of frequent users to keep from overtaking the delicate and unique ecosystem adjacent the Tualatin River.

Invasive Removal

Himalayan blackberry and English ivy spread aggressively, crowding out native plants and destabilizing riverbanks. Regular removal by community volunteers makes a lasting difference.

Frequent Eyes on the Trail

A healthy greenway depends on people who know it well. Regular users notice early-stage encroachment before it becomes a major restoration project.

Community Stewardship

By working alongside city parks staff, TOGN volunteers amplify what a small but dedicated team can accomplish for the whole community.
